We are a B2B online networking platform for professionals, business people and students in the area of technology services. People use our Services to find and be found for business opportunities and to connect with others and for information. Our Privacy Policy applies to any Member or Visitor to our Services.
Our registered users (“Members”) share their professional identities, company details, engage with their network, exchange professional insights, post and view relevant content, learn and find business and career opportunities. Content and data on some of our Services is viewable to non-members (“Visitors”).
Central to our mission of improving the richness of business transactions in the area of technology services, is our commitment to be transparent about the data we collect about you, how it is used and with whom it is shared.

Your Privacy Matters

We respect your privacy, and we understand the importance of the information you entrust to us. This Privacy Policy describes our practices concerning the information collected by Olovy e-Commerce LLP (“Olovy”, “we”, “us”, “our”), through our website Olovy.com and other related platforms (the “Site”) and the related services (collectively the “Services”).
As a Visitor or Member of our Services, the collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject to this Privacy Policy (which includes our Cookie Policy and other documents referenced in this Privacy Policy) and updates. This Privacy Policy, including our Cookie Policy applies to your use of our Services as defined in the User Agreement. By using the Services, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Data Controllers and Contracting Parties

Olovy e-Commerce LLP, India, will be the controller of your personal and organizational data provided to, or collected by or for, or processed in connection with our Services.

Changes

We will continue to evaluate this Privacy Policy against new technologies, business practices, and our users’ needs, and may make changes to the Privacy Policy accordingly. Please check this page periodically for updates. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated Privacy Policy here, along with its “effective date”, and notify you by email or by means of a notice on our Site. You acknowledge that your continued use of our Services after we publish or send a notice about our changes to this Privacy Policy means that the collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject to the updated Privacy Policy after that effective date.

1 Data We Collect

1.1 Data You Provide To Us

The data you provide to us, in electronic, audio-visual or any format is considered as an non-exclusive license of Olovy till such time as we deem fit. At some point in time, you wish to withdraw the data, we shall oblige and do the needful.

Company Information Company name, registration details, history, type of legal entity, Head office and other offices, achievements, sectors operating in etc.
Registration Information To create an account you need to provide data including your name, photograph, email address and/or mobile number, and a password. In some cases, we collect proof of identity and proof of address. In some other cases, we collect gender and age information to support our incentive schemes.
The Services are not intended for users under the age of 18 See Service Eligibility in our User Agreement. If we become aware that a person submitting information and we are unknowingly collecting it, we will attempt to deactivate or delete the information as soon as possible. You hereby represent that you are at least 18 year of age.
Billing information We do not collect payment and billing information online. However we collect bank account details to whom we have to make payments or from whom we collected payments.
Profile, Work place and School information Education, work experience, skills, city, area, work organizations, employer information, achievements. You don’t have to provide additional information but a complete profile helps other Members to make business decisions faster. Please do not provide personal data that you would not want to be publicly available.
Technical and Business Information Most of the data related to your product and service information is collected by us and uploaded on your behalf. We believe that the content is owned by you and accurate. We will help correct syntactical and grammar mistakes.
Testimonials, Comments You may send messages to appreciate our Services or the services and accomplishments of another Member or Company or product.
Feedback You may provide feedback and suggestions on our Services
Social Participation Your willing participation to Services hosted temporarily or permanently (for example, message boards, blogs, apply for job opportunities, chat groups, social networking, games, surveys, polls, promotions, or contests);
Transactional Information Olovy provides screens for Members to log their progress, engagement and business done in secure and access controlled pages. The Members are not obligated to enter this information.
‘Partners’ may also allow access to their team executives to log progress of their field activities. Such executives are otherwise with Visitor privileges and do not have access to information of any other Members.
B2B Events We shall take photographs, video recordings and also audio testimony from participants and speakers at our hosted events.

Content and News Others may comment about you or respond to your posts on professional and business accomplishments (e.g., patents granted, professional recognition, conference speakers, projects, etc.) and make it available as part of our Services

Likes Visitors and Members may provide Likes for your content
Service Use We log your visits and use of our Services.
Calendars and Address Books We neither access nor sync your address books or calendars
Service Use We log your visits and use of our Services. We use log-ins, cookies, device information, IP addresses to identify you and log your usage.
Cookies, Beacons and other similar technologies We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels, ad tags and device identifiers) to recognize you and/or your device(s) on, off and across different Services and devices. We also allow some others to use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings and other tools. Blocking cookies can result in diminishing your user experience.
Device, System and Location When you visit or leave our Services (including our plugins or cookies or similar technology on the sites of others), we receive the URL of both the site you came from and the one you go to next. We also get information about your IP address, proxy server, operating system, web browser and add-ons, time zone, language preference, device identifier and features, and/or ISP or your mobile carrier. If you use our Services from a mobile device, that device will send us data about your location based on your phone settings. We will seek your consent before we use GPS, Camera or other tools to identify your precise location.
Messages We may collect information of you engaging with other entities. Presently we do not send reminders or use automatic scanning technologies, but we may do it to allow an improved experience later.
Sites and Services of others We may collect information about your visits and interaction with services provided by others when you log-in and visit other services that use our plugins, ads, cookies or other technologies
Tenders RFPs We may collect data from other public domain that informs technology service providers about possible business opportunities.
Other As part of our continuous innovation and introduction of new functionality, we may require to collect new information. If we collect materially different personal data or materially change how we use your data, we will notify you and may also modify this Privacy Policy.
In such cases, we shall also inform how we intend to use the new data.


2 How We Use Your Data

We use the data that we have about you to provide and personalize, including with the help of automated systems and inferences we make, our Services (including ads) so that they can be both relevant and useful to you and others.

Access Eligibility and Authorization We use the data to verify and authorize access to our Services
Interact and Inform The data we receive and upload from you helps others find your services, solutions and engage for business and professional reasons.
Changes to information are also shared. Our Services also allow you to remain informed about news, events and ideas in our world and also areas that we may feel are relevant to you.
Opportunities Our Services allow Members to explore business, professional, learning and career opportunities. We will use your data to recommend active and potential opportunities of business, skill development and growth.
We will also show tender / RFP data for you to seek more business opportunities.
Benchmark We will use your data to provide to you meaningful views that will help you to strategize and put competitive strategies
Communications We will contact you through email, phone, notices on our websites and push notifications. We will send transactional updates or notices regarding security, payment reminders, festival greetings, invitation to events, functional changes or availability of our Services. While you may Opt-Out of promotional messages, Please be aware that you cannot opt-out of receiving service messages from us, including security and legal notices.
Advertising and Marketing We offer your choices of advertisements, but you cannot opt-out of seeing our advertisements. We will target advertisements based on the following data, either separately or combined from data like cookies, provided data, data from activities, information in profiles etc.
We will show you ads called sponsored content which look similar to non-sponsored content, except that they are labeled “ads” or “sponsored.” If you take an action (such as like, comment or share) on these ads, your action is associated in our logs but not viewable by others, including the advertiser. Your social action on the content will not be mentioned with related ads.
We use data and content about Members for invitations and communications promoting membership and network growth, engagement and our Services.
Information to Ad Providers We do not share your personal data with any third-party advertisers or ad networks for their advertising except for data already visible to any users of the Services (e.g. service information). If you view or click on an ad the ad provider will know that someone visited the page that displayed the ad.
Research, Insights and Service Development We will use data from Olovy to understand our users (their demographics, what they do on our Services, what features they like, how they use them etc.) and improve our Services, such as by personalizing content to your interests and process and complete your transactions;
We will use data, including feedback, system faults, performance data to make our Services more intuitive and personalize to drive membership growth, engagement on our Services and ultimately business volumes of the specialized community of Members. We also seek to reward active Members and towards that we will use the transactional data to determine the extent of engagement of each Member.
We use the personal data available to us to research social, economic and workplace trends such as jobs availability and skills needed for these jobs and policies that help bridge the gap in various industries and geographic areas. In some cases, we work with trusted third parties to perform this research, under controls that are designed to protect your privacy. We publish or allow others to publish economic insights, presented as aggregated data rather than personal data.
We use your data to produce and share aggregated insights that do not identify you. For example we may use your data to generate statistics about our members, their profession or industry, to calculate ad impressions served or clicked on, or to publish visitor demographics for a Service or demographic workforce insights.
Surveys and Polls We use the data collected from polls to derive insights and inference, mostly towards addressing a problem or finding for productive ways to enrich the experience of Members. You are not obligated to respond to polls
Promotion We may use clips or video or audio recordings, as recorded, or with sub-titling or edited or transcribed as text, in order to promote Olovy’s Services to Visitors and the general public.
Transactional Information The information logged by Members relating to their business done or status of prospects etc. are used internally for increasing the activities of Olovy. Based on this information, Olovy might develop new strategies to provide more productive opportunities for their Members.
This information might also be the basis for designing Programs to recognize and reward users that have contributed to Olovy’s growth and prominence.
Olovy reserves the right to not provide a copy of this information to Members.
Administration, Support & Governance We use the data (which can include your communications) for general monitoring, trouble-shooting, root cause analysis and in general to manage our business.
We will also use your data and information provided to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and Service issues (e.g., bugs)
Security & Investigation We use data for security, fraud prevention and investigations.
We use your data (including your communications) if we think it’s necessary for security purposes or to investigate possible fraud or other violations of our User Agreement or this Privacy Policy and/or attempts to harm our Members or Visitors.
Other Actions We may also handle the data in a way described specifically during the data collection stage and after obtaining explicit consent on the same.


3 How We Share Information

General info We are not obligated to export, share, archive any information hosted.
Role-specific info We have business workflows that include few pages on the website that are specific to user roles and are intentionally not accessible to and not required to be used by other Members or Visitors.
Members registered as ‘Partners’ may have a limited, view-only access to the business transactions done by the Service Providers and/or other Members they have enrolled.
Our Services Company details, description of the solutions and offerings of your company, your profile and any content you post (e.g. Like, Comment, Recommendations) will be seen by others.
Visitors have restricted access to the functionality and also cannot see the ratings or some of the screens that are specific to Role
Your Profile Your profile including your title, city, education, work experience and achievements, is visible to all Members and customers of our Services. Contact information is shown selectively only to customers and other details like your PAN etc. are never shown at all.
We do not show anyone the status of jobs applied for.
Posts, Likes, Comments When you share an article or a post publicly, it can be viewed by everyone and re-shared anywhere. Any information shared on your page or company page will be viewable by visitors to these pages.
Where there is a post for work requirement or manpower requirement, everybody can see it. Where there is a post for requirement of financial funding, only the Olovy admin can see and act on the same.
Account Usage For every company, we can see the extent of your engagement with Olovy, including the number of members registered, visitors to your company site, active status of advertisements.
We do not share any information of your activities with your employers.
Information Archival You consent to our keeping a copy of Olovy IT system as well as associated content on backup servers in any part of the world, as deemed fit by our internet hosting provider.
We provide for exporting and archival of information for our business development partners.
There are specific features that allow ‘Export’ a copy of the information to an external environment or file system. Once exported, you are responsible for the safe custody of the information.
Social Media accounts We do not exchange contacts, profile or other information with common Social media platforms.
Affiliates and Service Providers We use others to help us provide our Services (e.g., maintenance, analysis, audit, payments, fraud detection, marketing and development). They will have access to your information as reasonably necessary to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
We may share your information with our affiliates, which are entities under common ownership or control of our ultimate parent company.
Fraud Prevention and Legal Disclosures It is possible that we will need to disclose information about you when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (1) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government enforcement agencies; (2) enforce our agreements with you, (3) investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, (4) protect the security or integrity of our Service (such as by sharing with companies facing similar threats); or (5) exercise or protect the rights and safety of Olovy, our Members, personnel, or others. We attempt to notify Members about legal demands for their personal data when appropriate in our judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. We may dispute such demands when we believe, in our discretion, that the requests are overbroad, vague or lack proper authority, but we do not promise to challenge every demand.
Advertisers We may engage advertising networks to place ads (including sponsored links in search results) on our site and in our mobile applications. These companies may collect information, such as your computer’s IP address, browser information, mobile device ID, and search queries, as you use our Site and Services. They also may use cookies and other technologies to collect this information when you visit our site
Analysis We may generate, use and disclose aggregated and/or anonymized information and statistics about your use of the Services to third parties for marketing, analytical and strategic purposes. However, no user of our Services will be individually identifiable from the aggregated and/or anonymized information and statistics.
Change of Ownership We may share your data when our business is sold to others, but it must continue to be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We can also share your personal data as part of a sale, merger or change in control, or in preparation for any of these events. Any other entity which buys us or part of our business will have the right to continue to use your data, but only in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy unless you agree otherwise.


4 Your Choices & Obligations

Data Retention We retain the information we collect about and from you for as long as necessary to fulfil a business purpose or comply with a legal request. We may also choose to anonymize certain of the information you provide to us so that it can no longer be attributed to you if we would like to retain it for longer periods of time.
We retain your personal data while your account is in existence or as needed to provide you Services. This includes data you or others provided to us and data generated or inferred from your use of our Services.
We may purge some historical data and audit trail data and keep a copy outside the online environment.
In some cases, even after you deactivate an account or stop using it, some of the information like cookies may remain on your desktop.
Right to Access and Control your Data As a member, the information that you provide belongs to you and you can ask for modifications at any time. In several places, we provide a direct access for you to modify your details. But in the interest of stability and maintaining a uniform and consistent look to the website, we act as a conduit for uploading information and subsequently changes to the information uploaded.
Account Closure If you choose to close your account with us, we ‘deactivate’ the uploaded pages. Generally within a few hours, the information related to closed accounts will stop appearing in Search results. Some Members may continue to see the information till they clear their browser cache.
We retain your personal data even after you have closed your account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our User Agreement, or fulfill your request to “unsubscribe” from further messages from us. We will retain de-personalized information after your account has been closed.


5 Other Important Information

Monitoring for Misuse & Security We are HTTPS secured. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you send us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards
Storage We rely on our hosting service provider to use industry standard and legally-provided mechanisms for storage, archival, cross-border transfers of information on the Olovy platform.
Lawful Bases By registering, you provide us lawful bases including consent, contract and ‘legitimate interests’. Where we rely on your consent to process personal data, you have the right to withdraw or decline your consent at any time and where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object.

Direct Marketing We do not share personal data with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your permission. We may however need to upload Contact information on platforms, reliably secure and responsible, that are used for mass mailing our information notices to you.
